കോഴിക്കോട്: നഗരത്തിന്റെ ചരിത്രവും പൈതൃകവും അടുത്തറിഞ്ഞ് ‘മിഷിനൊപ്പം ഹെറിറ്റേജ് വാക്ക്’ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി. മലബാർ ഇനിഷ്യേറ്റീവ് ഫോർ സോഷ്യൽ ഹാർമണിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ മൂന്ന് ദിവസങ്ങളിലായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ഹാർമണി ഫെസ്റ്റിന്റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് ഹെറിറ്റേജ് വാക്ക് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്.

കോഴിക്കോടിന്റെ ചരിത്രവും പൈതൃകവും സംഗമിക്കുന്ന തളി ക്ഷേത്ര പരിസരത്തുനിന്നാണ് യാത്ര ആരംഭിച്ചത്. കോഴിക്കോട് ബാർ അസോസിയേഷൻ പ്രസിഡന്റ് അഡ്വ. കെ. ആലിക്കോയ യാത്ര ഫ്ലാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്തു. കോർഡിനേറ്റർ മുസ്തഫ മുഹമ്മദ് അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. ലത്തീഫ് പാലക്കണ്ടി ഫ്ലാഗ് ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി.

തളി ക്ഷേത്രം, കണ്ടംകുളം, വൈരാഗി മഠം, പാളയം, എസ്.എം. സ്ട്രീറ്റ്, പാർസി ക്ഷേത്രം, ക്യാമ്പ് ബസാർ, ഹുസൂർ റോഡ്, ഹനുമാൻ ക്ഷേത്രം, പട്ടാളപ്പള്ളി, മാനാഞ്ചിറ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ച ഹെറിറ്റേജ് വാക്ക് സി.എസ്.ഐ കത്തീഡ്രൽ പള്ളിയിൽ സമാപിച്ചു.

വിവിധ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളുടെ ചരിത്രപ്രാധാന്യവും പൈതൃകവും ഹെറിറ്റേജ് വാക്ക് ഗൈഡ് കെ. മോഹൻ വിശദീകരിച്ചു. ഫാദർ ഡോ. ടി.ഐ. ജെയിംസ്, നവാസ് പൂനൂർ, സി. ആലിക്കോയ, ജോഹർ ടാംടൺ, റഫി പി. ദേവസ്യ, പ്രശാന്ത് പ്രണവ്, നസീർ ഹുസൈൻ, പി.കെ. കൃഷ്ണനുണ്ണിരാജ, എ.വി. ഫർദിസ് എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു.

Kozhikode’s history and heritage came alive through a three-day Heritage Walk held as part of the Harmony Fest organized by the Malabar Initiative for Social Harmony. The walk began at the Thali temple premises and concluded at the CSI Cathedral Church after passing through several historically significant landmarks across the city.
