**കോഴിക്കോട്: [ **കോഴിക്കോട് പുതുപ്പാടിയിൽ റോഡ് മുറിച്ചു കടക്കുന്നതിനിടെ കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസ് ഇടിച്ചു കാൽ നടയാത്രക്കാരൻ മരിച്ചു.

കൈതപ്പൊയിൽ സ്വദേശി കളപ്പുരക്കൽ ജോയ് (65)ആണ് മരിച്ചത്.

രാവിലെ ആറു മണിയോടെയാണ് അപകടം ഉണ്ടായത്. ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചപ്പോഴേക്കും ജോയ് മരിച്ചിരുന്നു.

മാനന്തവാടിയിൽ നിന്നും കോഴിക്കോടേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന കെഎസ്ആർടിസി ബസാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഇടിച്ചുവീഴ്ത്തിയത്.

പൊലീസ് ബസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിൽ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. മൃതദേഹം കോഴിക്കോട് മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജ് മോർച്ചറിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.
